Empowering Campus Connectivity with Scalable AV Solutions
Fusion Digital partnered with Milestone Construction to transform the University Advancement offices at RIT into a forward-thinking, technology-rich environment. Here's how.

The Objective
Milestone Construction brought Fusion Digital on board to design and install an advanced audiovisual solution for RIT’s University Advancement department, located at 100 Tech Park Drive in Rochester, NY. The goal was to enhance communication and collaboration across the atrium, collaboration areas, and executive conference room, both in-person and virtually.
The project called for reliable, intuitive systems that would elevate the meeting experience through crisp visuals, clear audio, and seamless video conferencing capabilities. Fusion Digital was tasked with integrating scalable technology that supported the university’s goals while maintaining a consistent user experience across all spaces.

The Approach
Fusion Digital installed a high-performance audio system powered by a Biamp DSP and a 400-watt amplifier with echo cancellation and remote monitoring. Four coaxial speakers and a wireless microphone system (with handheld and lavalier options) were included for flexible usage. Four large-format displays mirror content from a central podium, creating an engaging environment for events and presentations.
A 10” Extron capacitive touchscreen was installed in the atrium to simplify system operation. With Gorilla Glass durability and a clean interface, users can power displays on/off and adjust audio with ease.
In the executive conference room, Fusion Digital deployed an all-in-one Logitech video conferencing bar for effortless remote collaboration. Ceiling microphones and a satellite audio pickup device ensure full-room audio clarity. A tabletop touch controller allows for real-time audio adjustment and camera switching.
Seven AVP rooms were each equipped with a 43” monitor and Mersive wireless casting device, allowing up to two users to collaborate simultaneously. These devices integrate directly into the client’s network for seamless functionality.
Four additional conference rooms were outfitted with a range of 75”–85” displays, Logitech video conferencing bars, and wireless casting systems. These setups provide user-friendly, high-quality video collaboration with flexible sharing capabilities.
The Results Driven Solution
Fusion Digital successfully reimagined the University Advancement offices as high-performance collaboration spaces. From the acoustically refined atrium to the fully integrated conference rooms, the new AV systems support efficient communication and engaging presentations. The scalable, intuitive solutions also lay the foundation for future technology growth, empowering RIT to keep advancing.
