Building Safer, Smarter Schools: A Comprehensive AV & Campus Alert System Upgrade
Fusion Digital modernized Pittsford Central School District’s Jefferson Road Elementary with an integrated AV and alert system across classrooms, non-instructional spaces, and large venues. Here’s how.

The Objective
Pittsford Central School District set out to enhance campus-wide communication and emergency preparedness at Jefferson Road Elementary. The goal was to implement a unified AV and alert system that would ensure student and staff safety while supporting daily instruction and announcements. Their vision included improving real-time communication in instructional and non-instructional areas, streamlining system control for administrators, and creating a flexible infrastructure capable of supporting emergency messaging, teaching tools, and multimedia usage.
In an era where responsiveness is critical, the district recognized the importance of a scalable solution built to meet both everyday and crisis needs.

34
instructional classrooms upgraded with AV and campus alert systems
21
non-instructional areas enhanced with IP speaker coverage
5
large venue spaces customized with advanced AV technology
70+
audio endpoints installed campus-wide
100%
system integration for daily and emergency communication
The Approach
Fusion Digital installed 34 FrontRow EzRoom Trio kits in instructional classrooms, each equipped with teacher and student microphones, Bluetooth audio control, and Pico Players for synchronized campus messaging.
21 IP-based speakers were added to hallways, offices, and other shared areas, providing clear audio coverage for announcements and emergency alerts using existing ceiling infrastructure.
An administrative control station was deployed with a touchscreen interface, integrated microphone, CM-series audio processor, and a virtual conductor server—empowering staff to manage audio zones and alerts campus-wide.
The school’s gymnasium, library, cafeteria, and auditorium received tailored audio solutions, including wireless microphones, upgraded speakers, and high-performance processors for clarity in high-capacity spaces.
Outdated cabling and legacy PA systems were replaced with modern components, ensuring reliability and compatibility across all school zones.
The Results Driven Solution
Fusion Digital’s comprehensive solution brought Pittsford’s vision for a safer, more connected school environment to life. Every instructional space, venue, and shared area is now equipped with dependable communication tools that enhance classroom engagement and ensure immediate alert capabilities. The centralized control system offers staff the confidence to deliver timely messaging and manage complex AV needs with ease.
By blending reliability, flexibility, and ease of use, Fusion helped the district modernize its infrastructure without disrupting day-to-day operations—laying a strong foundation for both educational enrichment and emergency preparedness.
